The common practice of adding colour to vachetta leather during a restoration may seem beneficial, but it can actually harm the leather and decrease the item's value. While newer Louis Vuitton models use coated vachetta, applying colour to older, more common, or vintage pieces is not recommended.

In addition, we also teach a choice of finish - either bright 'new' or classical honey patina. We have a composite of several different products and techniques for dealing with vachetta, allowing the technician access to a wide range of solutions for a clients bag.
