Professional electroplating begins long before the plating stage. The quality of the finished result depends heavily on how the original hardware is assessed, cleaned and prepared.
At HBS, students learn the professional preparation and restoration processes required before plating begins, including hardware cleaning, surface preparation and specialist buffing techniques.
These processes form an important part of the course because electroplating alone cannot correct poor surface preparation. Students therefore learn the complete process from preparing worn hardware through to the final plated finish.

Learn Both Dip & Brush-On Electroplating
Many electroplating training programmes focus primarily on brush-on plating. HBS training covers both professional dip electroplating and brush-on electroplating, together with the preparation processes required before either method is used.
Dip Electroplating
Students learn the principles, equipment and practical process involved in professional dip electroplating, where suitable hardware components are immersed in the plating solution to create an even plated finish.
Brush-On Electroplating
